About our team of providers
Charmaine Fanara, owner, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, (LCSW-R),MDIV, MPA, CHNC who has provided counseling for 30 years in a variety of counseling settings. She treats those age 16 years old and older. She treats those with PTSD, depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorder, Adult ADHD, grief loss and personality disorders. She also helps those in life transitions and with eldercare issues. Charmaine accepts Fidelis insurance, IHA, Univera, BC/BS, Cigna, Aetna, Excellus, Value Options, Emblem Health, Tricare, NYS Empire plan, Humana, Beacon and other insurances, plus Employee Assistance Benefits.
She has three Master's Degrees including a Master's in Social Work, graduate of SUNY Buffalo, a Master's in Divinity graduate of Northeastern Seminary, and a Master's in Public Administration graduate of SUNY Brockport. She is also a Certified Holistic Nutrition Consultant(AFPA).
Charmaine is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and Cheektowaga Chamber of Commerce.
Mike Wright, LCSW-R is an independent contractor with over 22 years of experience. Mike has a specialization in providing alcohol and substance abuse counseling. He specializes in addictions, OCD, teens age 14 years old plus he counsels for couples issues, grief/loss, anxiety and depression. Currently Mike accepts IHA, BC/BS, Univera, United Behavioral Health, Cigna, Beacon and some Employee Assistance Benefits.
Lisa Chisum, LCSW-R is an independent contractor with over 14 years mental health experience. She provides counseling for children age 11+, teens, parents, and specializes in marital and individual counseling. She has experience with multi-systemic therapy. Lisa accepts BC/BS, IHA, Beacon and Univera insurance plus Employee Assistance Benefits.
Timothy Pieczonka, LMHC is an independent contractor with nearly 7 years mental health experience. He has a specialization in Pediatrics. He provides counseling to children 10+, teens parents and families. He specializes in improving interactions and communication and helps parents to set reasonable expectations of their children. He specializes in child and teen behavioral issues, peer relationships, oppostional defiance disorder, school issues, impulse control disorders, parents and resolving family conflict. He provides individual, couples and family counseling. Tim accepts Aetna, Beacon, Fidelis, Value Options, out of network beneifts and Univera, plus some Employee Assistance Benefits.
Kristine Pieczonka, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with over 10 years of counseling experience has joined our staff. Her counseling specialties include: children, school-related concerns, and behavioral management. She is trained in Restorative Practices, which works to resolve conflicts and repair the relationship harm done due to the conflict. Kristine provides counseling for: children 10+, teens, parents/individuals/couples/marital/families, school problems, behavioral management concerns, stress, anger and conflict management, Depression, anxiety, and panic.
Barbara Christman, Licensed Clinical Social Worker works with individuals and couples of all ages and backgrounds in therapy. She enjoys working with older adolescents, families and adult individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, life transitions, illness, grief and loss, stress, women’s issues and relationship or family problems. She provides cognitive behavioral and supportive insight-oriented therapy. She works to create an environment that is at your pace and focused on creating a “safe space” for you. Some insurances are accepted.
